Sky & Trees Class Blog: Sky Class First Full Week Is Very... Full!

As we learn about our classroom and the school, we are also getting to know each other.

This week we laughed and played together
and our mailboxes were overflowing with messages!

We also told stories together!

It was exciting to read the daily schedule at the Greeting Meeting!

Our big wonder this week: Bells we hear during our second park time.

Where are they coming from and how do they ring?

"Someone is playing the bells like
a computer and ringing them." (Franco)

"They do some stuff and
then they ring the bell." (Kayla)

"Maybe the person ringing the bell is
a princess with a long dress
named Brianna with a cape." (Leila)

The ringing sound is coming from that direction!

"The place is tall and they ring the bells,
ding dong ding dong!" (Sarah)

"Someone is in the clock ringing it by rocking back and forth
and then the person says ding dong." (Mirabella)

"A string is on the bell, and when they pull it,
it goes ding-dong, ding-dong!" (Zac)

Do they swing like this?

"There's a string to pull." (Milo)

"Maybe a camera [or] maybe somebody has a camera at
the bell and when they look at it [the clock]...
they want to bang it and they bang it." (Jayden)

"There's a person in the clock..." (Julie)

"Maybe a person goes up the stairs and does the bells!" (Melanie)

We met many blocks and learned about enclosures, doorways, towers, and walls.
This reminded us about bells and towers.

Then there was an "ah ha!" moment: We can make a unit block shape on the geo board!

Singing worship songs during the day reminded us about the Creation story we are learning during morning worship so we are making a group collage to show the story.
