The ever-popular sensory table has been filled with sand. This new material has brought even more interest there. It has become an even more desired stop for exploration!
But, it also requires cleaning and maintenance when the sand escapes! Children have been great about exercising their sweeping skills. (Hint, hint: An idea for earning coins at home for Lenten cans?)
Children have also been engaged in drawing cars, as our city study moves along. They are observing carefully and adding details as they aim to make beautiful, detailed, careful drawings.
And, as we think about vehicles, children have been been collaborating to paint and draw roads, and other things they find in cities, such as people, water, homes, crosswalks and more!
They are puzzling through how these things fit into city life as they discuss and draw them. We wonder where their thinking will lead!
