They have learned how to twist and bend and shape the wire. They are learning to attach and connect wires so that they stay together.
This work can be very challenging and it helps to develop finger strength, control, and dexterity.
Children must be persistent as they are working with these small wires. The process helps to build stamina and focus.
After children have learned many of the skills required to bend and connect wires, they put them together to create beautiful sculptures! Look for these in our classrooms!
