Some robots look like humans!
As the children worked on their robot investigation, they discovered that many robots are modeled after things found in nature. This prompted them to wonder...
Thus the study of the human body commenced with
X-rays on the light table...
X-rays on the light table...
tracing each other's bodies...
doing a multi-level puzzle of the human body...
putting together a human skeleton...
creating a block human modeled after a human skeleton...
bodies can do other things like...
make snow angels
paths in the snow...
enjoy a snowy slide
and even write!
The children were also interested to find out how their lungs worked. They filled them with air and pushed out the air to try and make pom-poms and cotton balls move.
Would it work better if they blew on them from the top...
or from the side?
The children also thought about other living things that robots could look like... maybe a turtle. (They found one during our adventure on the third floor!)
Meanwhile in the Studio
The children learned to paint angels...
made stars out of clay
experimented with bubbles
and cared for babies.
Invitation to Lead Worship
Sky and Trees class children were invited to lead worship on Friday December 20 in telling the story of Jesus' birth.
They accepted the invitation and have been busy preparing!
