1. The Trees class is devising strategies in Math on how best to count all our baby cereal ... we have followed a few strings of thought and figured out some interesting ideas, but we never arrive at a total count.

3. With so many of us preparing for babies at home, the children agreed to turn the drama area into a nursery.
We are learning that babies are LOTS of work ...
"Dinner time!"
"Mash up the avocado..."
"Try it — it's yummy"
"It's a clean shirt for bedtime."
"Let's make an automatic baby-washing machine!"
"Keep them quiet while we clean up the blocks, they might be cranky. That means there hungry."
"Come on! Come down the slide! Come! I'm right here."
"Look at this mess."
4. We are learning a new baby song in worship that will help us tell the Nativity story on the last day of school before Christmas break (with costumes and props and a reception to follow!) —
A baby was born in Bethlehem,

Today, as we do every day, we prayed for the babies inside...
"...for Laura's baby,
and Hugh and Henry's baby,
and Abby's baby,
and Hudson's baby,
and Milo's baby," we all said.
And then Henry chimed in:
"and the baby Jesus"
Then everyone said "AMEN."
"Jesus is a baby? But he made the babies"
"He started as God but was then a baby for pretend and then he's back up in heaven as god now"
"No, he was a baby for real"
"Jesus is the same thing as God"
"How can God be a baby?"
"Jesus made all of the Mommies so all babies are his babies"
"And then babies create more babies"

"They grow up and just have more!"
"It's like a food chain"
"It's actually called a life cycle"
"Babies, then grow up, then more babies!"
So there you have it, all our baby-talk, activities, and prayer has provided us with learning in ...
