Our Fox Family has a new addition today ...
Baby Fox was born sometimes last night and the children were delighted to find him nestled in with his family this morning.
We sang happy birthday to him and noticed he was a different color than the rest. We concluded that sometimes families are made up of many different colors, and we also noticed that sometimes newborns are strange colors for a little bit.
We talked a lot about babies waiting inside and new babies outside and what sort of behaviors to expect. We talked about how Big Sister Fox, Twin Foxes, and Mamma Fox would all work together with this big job.
The children said we needed to have a bottle and a blanket and diapers. And lots of hugs.
Each child is eagerly awaiting the day it will be their turn to help the fox family by holding and caring for our beloved Baby Fox.
