the time had come for assembly to begin!
First the children learned how to "shop" for materials. Each box contained different sized and shaped things...
... then they looked at their designs and picked materials that resembled the size and shape of some of its parts.
Cutting or tearing cardboard to make it
more precise is encouraged!
The children made sure to keep their design on hand to guide their work when choosing materials.
