The robot and human body investigation continues!
This week children began doing research on these two topics and made some interesting discoveries but they still had many questions about the human body so we agreed to write them down and ask an expert:
our school nurse!
To learn more about their bodies, the children traced their feet and used Unifix Cubes as a form of non-standard measurement to find out information.
After setting the Unifix Cubes around the perimeter
of the outline, they counted to see
how many cubes they used.
As the children thought about the layers of the body...
could they add them to their outlines, too?
Guess what? The Three Kings (bearing a gift)

The children had some questions for them...
and then took turns opening a bit of the class present!
They received a Tinker Totter Robot construction set. The children found out that they can pull apart the wooden pieces and mix, match, twist, and turn them.
