Indoor Obstacle Course
Version 1
Gather supplies to make the obstacles.
(like empty paper towel rolls, a kitchen spoon,
pillows, chairs, toys, scarf, book, etc.).
Map out some space for your course.
(things to hop over, crawl underneath, pick up along the way)
Place a piece of tape, or a piece of yarn,
at the “starting line" and then...
READY? STEADY? GO!
Version 2
You can just use some tape on the ground
to make different patterns to walk, run, or hop.
Version 3
Make a web with streamers, tape, yarn, or string and go from one side to the other without touching anything!
Challenge Round:
Set a timer. Can beat your time?
Pick a challenge, like balancing a book on your head, to move from one part of the course to the next.
Set up some bigger physical obstacles
(drape a sheet between two chairs to crawl under
or limbo under; pile pillows to “mountain climb” over)
Try some fun ways to get from obstacle to obstacle
(crab walk, bear walk, slither like a snake, walk backwards,
walk sideways, dance, walk with eyes closed)
Watch these two sisters as they set up
and complete their own obstacle course!
