We talked about coats of arms and how knights would put the design for their coats of arms on their shields and clothing so they could be identified when they were in battle.
During the Trees class meetings, some children showed the shields and swords (and crowns) they had made at home.
If you would like to make your own shield or sword to use at our celebration on Thursday, here are some ideas to get you going.

cardboard
scissors (*and probably a grownup to help you cut cardboard)
paper
something to draw with
tape or glue
alumninum foil
markers, crayons, paint, colored pencils
