Social Emotional Learning: Feelings Chart and Read-Aloud with Ms. Kadota

How are you feeling today?

Find your feelings chart and put your marker on the place that shows best how you are feeling today. (If you don't have a marker, choose something to be your marker--a rock, a small toy, the lid from a jar...)

Today your job is to find a good place for your chart to live in your home.
(Parents, you will be needed for part of this).
  • Think about a place that is easy to find
  • Maybe hanging on your refrigerator or a wall? Maybe on your bookshelf? Maybe it could be in a quiet place or a take-a-break spot in your home?
    • It would be great if you can move your chart when you want to take it to another place.
  • You might need to use tape, velcro, or magnets to attach the pieces to the chart. Or maybe you just lay it flat and have a special basket in which to keep the markers and emotions faces.

Enjoy Ms. Kadota reading about feelings.
As she reads, move your marker to show how the people in the book might be feeling.

If you haven't done the bonus activity of making different faces, here it is!

Good Job!

Remember, you can use your
feelings chart any time you want!
