Back Again...Mat Man's Back! Tell a Friend!
And this time...he's personal(ized).
You may remember from the last blog post, that we have begun drawing Mat Man in literacy.
We studied Mat Man carefully and looked at all of the shapes that make him up. Big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves. And we could include them in our drawings.
Once we finished our first drawings of Mat Man, we discussed how we can personalize our drawings and make them our own.
Once we got the basics down, we were able to add our own personal touches, such as hair and clothes.
Then we were off!
Sometimes we even needed to look at our own clothes and shoes to help us include them in our drawing!
We worked so hard to add detail to our work and draw all of the little details of Mat Man that we could think of, like eyelashes, hair, clothes, and shoes.
And we were very proud of our work!
Now we know all of the parts--lines and curves--that make up letters and we are ready to begin
putting them together in new ways.
