Dear Sky & Trees Class Families ...
Do you have a pet?
Do you know anyone else who does?
Today or over the weekend, we need YOU to be pet interviewers!
The Sky and Trees classes decided that these were the 9 questions that we wanted to ask every pet owner.
- What is your pet's name?
- What kind of animal is your pet?
- Where did you get your pet?
- How do you take care of your pet?
- What is their habitat (where do they live?)
- What is the hardest part of taking care of your pet?
- What is the best part about taking care of your pet?
- Does your pet make a sound?
- What does your pet like to do for fun?
The interviews can be short and sweet or longer if you like.
And don't worry! They can be full of mistakes and do-overs and messing-up-moments — Mr. Johnson can edit all of that out until the perfect little nugget of an interview is left for the children to view.
Or you can film it in many little pieces and Mr. Johnson can edit them all together.
Ways to record an interview:
- Lower-tech option:
- Take a picture (or pictures) and send a transcript of your interview.
- Higher-tech option:
- With your laptop camera
- On your phone (click here for tips if you identify as "low-tech")
Ways to send an interview:
- Send pictures, text, or short movies (as an email attachment) to Mr. Johnson's email : njohnson@mustardseedschool.org
- Send longer movies to me as a link to your own google drive.
- Save longer movies into THIS ONLINE FOLDER* that belongs to Mr. Johnson.
*This folder is not intended as a movie gallery for children, but a library for Mr. Johnson to take what is needed for our study, edit it together, and then post it on the blog for children to see.
