Make your own (or order a new) notebook! — Monday, 4 May 2020

Hi Parents,

Your child should have their notebook every time they come to a meeting, so here is how to make one of your own in three easy steps:

1. Fold white, blank paper in half

    • Printer paper is great
    • No lines, please!
    • As many pieces as you want, we recommend 20-30 sheets (for 40-60 pages)

2. Fold thin cardboard in half and cut it to be the same size or slightly bigger than the white paper.

    • Cardboard from a cereal box is perfect
      • put the plain brown part on the outside
      • Or not! You can decorate it however you want :)
3. Staple together.
    • If you have a long stapler, you can staple it from the middle pages on the inside
    • With a regular stapler staple it from the outside
    • Or there is a handy trick (and more creative options) in the video below...

This video has a few more ideas if you want a slightly fancier project:

...or, here are the links to just order one again:

  • Link to the Journal (5 pack, if you want to coordinate with other families)

However you choose to create or acquire one, please make sure your child comes to each meeting with a journal that has no lines in it.

THANKS!

You guys are superheroes.
